mine i guess is anesthetics (mainly because its a lot of physiology...which i like lol) and neurology x)

Anesthetics, I had no idea that makes for a whole course O.o I guess it is, choosing the correct drug is not something to goof around with =)

You don't have to bow to me :D College days are fun in a way.

Most of the people don't like history or geography(they sleep during these two classes :( ).I am glad to hear that you liked them :D

I am not a programmer.Because of clara and shaurya,I know some basics :)

I just noticed that my reply to you disappeared or haven't got posted o_o I probably messed it up, so if it reappears, I'm sorry ^^'

I was thinking about it for a minute, and I don't remember what my classmates were doing during the classes; I was sitting on the raw and I either listened to the teacher or was reading the textbook, so I probably didn't pay attention to the rest of the class. That seems kinda abnormal for a kid, when I think about it now : D I think I liked history because it is sort of like a story with different characters that change every so often as the plot progresses =) They mostly teach us Greek, Rome and Middle East history, going to Europe and Russia; that is quite a lot to cover, so the class never gets repetitive and boring. It might had be even better though, if they added Chinese, Indian and American history, we spent very little time on those.

Which period in history you find the most interesting? =) I would guess over at where you live the program is pretty different too, it varies so much from country to country.

Modern physics, is my fav, followed by math, religion, literature, neurology and philosophy..............

Hooray for physics =) I am also always happy to hear that someone respect for the philosophy, over at my uni students trash is pretty badly :( Do you have a favorite philosopher, or a school of thought?

lol yeah its mainly because you have to take over the patients normal body functions so it can get quite tricky. although most of the other doctors make fun of anesthesiologists saying they just sit there with there newspaper while the surgeon does his thing x)

We have some plugins which can give information about the new changes. We have a plugin which informs about posts that have been posted while you are still typing. This plugin shows those posts before posting a reply. In other words, you will have to press the "post reply" button twice. After pressing it for the first time,it will show you the new posts. And it posts your reply after the second press. But it can be pretty useful because you don't have to reload the page now and then to just check for the new replies.

You are quite studious :D History differs from country to country. Most interesting, I don't think I can differ our history in that way.I like our History as a whole :D

Most of our history comprises of the king's era :D I am surprised to know that you want to listen others history as well. Every country is special in it's own way :)

@[Sindar], my fav ones are Blaise Pascal and Ramanuja............The latter formulated a school of thought known as Vishishtadvaita, meaning, 'qualified non-duality', and I follow this school of thought................

I saw that message, but I didn't think it is has any significance ._. I'll be more careful next time.

Not really, I never had to put hard work into history, I was only reading what I thought was interesting. I guess I was lucky that I found most of it entertaining somehow =) Except memorizing dates, that I didn't like and I still mess it up >.> I don't even know what king's era is  Well I am sure it would not be easy to learn Indian history, every time I read something about it I see long-long names that can't even begin to memorize O.o It would take quite some time to get used to I suppose =)

I would not pretend as if I know anything about Vishishtadvaita =) I didn't remember Pascal was a philosopher :O I went to the wiki just now and I quite liked what I saw. It seems he was one of those who worked on basic ideas that now a common sense in math and physics, I mean his works on understanding the idea of axioms and rigorous definitions.

It's sad that you had to type everything again :(

Memorizing dates is really difficult but by going through them now and then, will help you in that aspect :) Most of the Indian history comprises of kings,landlords..etc so,I named it king's era for my own convenience :) I hope I didn't confuse you, with that word :D It is difficult for us to memorize other countries names as well :) So,that's no big deal.

Ah, I see, I thought it was strange that I wasn't able to google anything regarding the king's era : D

@[Sindar], I would have been surprised if you knew about it cuz it is a school of thought within Hinduism.........And yes, I too did not know that Pascal was a philosopher until recently(after I saw Psycho-Pass, that is)................So, who is your fav philosopher and what school of thought do you follow?

You googled it? That's some dedication towards history :D

What are you studying again? The masters,is it related to mechanics?

I'm afraid I don't have one. You see, every work that I find interesting is based on some set of assumptions that you can't prove. The rest is logical argument that interpolates those basic ideas to make some sort of conclusions. So because no one can prove those assumptions I can't really compare different works. But if the argument is not logical, I would probably not approve of such work. I like european philosophy tradition in general though. I have learned a little about Chinese philosophers presently, it was very interesting, I think they cover a lot of interesting topics.

I am finishing my PhD studies in dynamics of mechanisms, I work on mathematical models for specific robots. But you are right, it is 90% classical mechanics =)

That's great. But how can you make some time to watch anime, in that busy schedule?

: D We have people on this forum who are way more busy than me ^^ Especially the ones who attend college. And I am not watching a lot, maybe 2-6 episodes of something a week. If I compare it to other things I waste my time on, it doesn't look like a big deal.

Let us see C,C++,Data Structures, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Design and Analysis of Algorithms and Internet Programming :full: The list is going to keep on growing

I am thinking of taking a course in Cyber Security *-*

@[Sindar] Well, yea........But for me, I discard a philosophy if the assumptions itself suck............So, I only like a few............

What about something we mere mortals can relate to? xP

(I can relate to Design and Analysis of Algorithms to be honest ^^ I am thinking of getting a book on it )

Cyber Security, isn't it a specialization you can do? I mean, we have a stream that is dedicated to this staff, people spend five years on it O.o

PHD is hard to obtain, that's what I have heard :D

It is kinda weird. Until I got into college I never really paid attention to any of my subjects. Now I enjoy listening to classes and I don't wanna miss even a single interesting class =)

I love Design and Analysis of Algorithms (we call it DAA ^-^). Hope you like it

They're offering it as a certificate course. I am interested in Cyber Security but not am not interested enough to give up everything else for it =) So the course is for people like me who don't want to spend a lot of years on it but are willing to spend 45 hours listening to the lecturers =)

Sorry for late answer (_ _)
It is, but it is not hard in the sense of the amount of work, but rather in the sense of having to either find some clever way to solve the problem you've got, or going in rounds changing and adjusting the problem itself. Both take time and can get tedious. But all the same, in my experience most people who fail to get PhD lacked patience and determination and weren't able to put up with the grind. It is harder when you don't have good enough basic education too, as it was with me.

That is hard to imagine : D Though I can say the same about myself, I didn't do a good job at school, not with important subjects.

I hope so too. I am a little afraid to buy more books at the moment though, I have about 30 or 40 brand new ones that I have to read :noo: Every time I come to the shelf to pick one to read I have hard time deciding which one I want xD

45 hours is a lot, are you going to have so many classes in one semester? O.o

I see. Good luck with your PHD.Clara might go for PHD too.
