World hindi day

Did you know that there was such a thing? I just saw it on television this morning.  So if you know hindi how about sharing something with us and include the english translation please :)
 
I have never heard of such a thing. Almost everyone can understand Hindi a little in India.
There is a Hindi learning thread somewhere.

Great.
If you want to learn the language, it would be a bit hard unless you are familiar with Sanskrit or any other Indian language a little.

I grew up with hindi movies thanks to my mom and did a little bit of it in school. I'm not that fluent though. It would be nice to get better in it but I just don't know if I would have the necessary patience.

It can't be "world" hindi day if I'm sure nobody outside of india would have heard of it. Even I've never heard of it. Just a useless name given to a regular day.

I've heard of Hindi Divas, my school used to conduct a lot of events, competitions on that day, I used to participate in a few of them. Never heard of this one.

Hindi Divas..sounds interesting, might just go look that up. What kind of competitions?

It's older than World Hindi Day and actually legit.
Debates, JAM's, speeches, word-play, puzzles, essay writings, quizzes, etc.

This thing is probably not that popular because it's more recent and a ploy made by the ruling party when it was first introduced, plus back here in South especially in my state most people don't speak Hindi.

But as our forum language is English, we are forced to use only that, to not to make the other users uncomfortable.
 
It's a responsibility as a staff member. I am surprised to know that, you could communicate in Hindi. You wouldn't face any issue if you ever visit India :D
 

All the Indians are at least bilingual and they can am understand Hindi, so it's great that you could understand it.
May I ask the languages that you can communicate in?

Cool. I know a bit of hindi and spanish as well. I'm a bit rusty but I think I could use it to save my life if necessary lol how about you?
