What are you watching?

i saw many threads for promisef neverland and you could participate in then.
i have heard of rising of the shield

Hmm.. I did notice those.. And it's the 1st on the list in the ongoing anime in Kissanime

Yeah I'm gonna start it anyway the question is about whether to start it now and put Ouran on-hold or not. With slice of life/comedy/romance series I always tend to get burnt half-way through so I wanna quit while I'm ahead(or rather put a break and resume maybe a few months later).

I stopped putting stuff on hold because I never end up coming back to it so I finish stuff before I start something new.

Usually I don't either but a few times I do if I feel like not wanting to search for something new. I actually put Ouran on-hold before at episode 5.

My bad by "this" I meant the shield anime. It starts off as regular fantasy but a sick plot twist happens.

II haven't watched any of the others. I believe there's some movies and ovas named Akihito.
But these 2 seasons comprise the main series. There's 3 recap movies as well.

I see,
Well then I'm not much of an ova person but the movies look pretty decent

Ovas are the same as episodes man.
Only the duration is less in them. You could try them out too

Also what's your opinion on the Black Lagoon dub. Everyone seems to praise it, it's worth watching it over the sub right?

Movies are extended ova's there's nothing different between the two.

Oh. Okay. Well I might check it out after all then. I'm at episode 13 so should be done with the first season in a couple days

Not asking you to check them out though I for one haven't watched and I think no one here likes them either.

Yeah.. Dub is really well done for Black lagoon... Specially for Revy and Balalaika.. Japanese sounds like shit.. One of the few animes where Dub is better than the sub.. Just one scene is enough to know how dope Dub is and that scene is a convo between Revy and Rock, where Revy explains about her point of view on what's worthy and meaningful in life.. That clip is available on YT.. During that scene, the original voice actor of Revy was so serious and eloquent while delivering that dialogue and since it had a dark tone to it, everybody in the set were kind of taken aback... That voice acting was Brilliantly done.

Isn't an ova an adaptation of the actual series? Like changing stuff that some one didn't like in it to their own views?
I was under the impression that this is what an ova was. Something that is not actually a part of the real thing
