Thank you. After my messy divorce and back to my hometown where no one wants me, I need a getaway. I really wanted to stay in the States but lord has other plans for me
 
Honestly, if I could leave the United States, I would. It is really not safe here anymore. But where would I go? Seemingly no place on Earth seems safe because of an old, rich, whiny brat.

Anyway, I hope you at least got a laugh from my post. 😊
 
You are right about that. I don't like how many conflicts we have in this world. It's like we are born to be destroyers of earth
 
i had a bad case of flu and it got better. back in the day i used to be more energetic but everything feels tiring now
 
I think I've got Long Covid.

It explains the excessive exhaustion: Falling asleep on the bus on the way to work after a cup of coffee in the morning? Shouldn't be happening, even after a full eight hours of restful sleep. The lack of concentration. I can barely write three paragraphs at a time now. Multitasking? Forget it. Even Doomscrolling takes too much effort. Shortness of breath/wheezing/deep chest congestion. I get winded just going up one flight of stairs, up a 10 degree incline, walking a few feet.

Sadly it sounds like you might be suffering from it. :( I've been reading stories about people dealing with long covid on Reddit. I'm hoping something can be done about it, but seeing who we have in office right now I highly doubt it'll happen soon. Have you been to a doctor about it yet?
 
I've got a doctors appointment set up for the 19th. The nurse called me with concern, especially if I have chest pain and dizziness (neither of which I have), to go to the Emergency Room or Urgent Care (which I couldn't afford even if I had to go).

Admittedly, there doesn't seem much that can be done, besides "be kind to yourself" and rest, take it easy-- which I'm all for. I'm done being a productive little beaver for this ... style of living we've all found ourselves trapped inside. Problem is that rest doesn't come very often much anymore.

they don't get that we don't have the luxury to be kind for ourselves. it's a survival struggle.

Thanks. I need energy. Lots and lots of energy. Whatever I've got that's going afoul, I'm literally exhausted. Just sitting here doom scrolling is wiping me out. And I wanted to write a little today.

(I'm only able to write something this witty because I've had two days off of work:
- Monday, the subway station was closed down, I couldn't get to work.
- Tuesday, the power was out until 16:00, my co-worker called be right as I was leaving for work telling me not to bother. Can't operate a cash register with no electricity.)

In other news, I finally got my new boots! I put three coats of shoe polish on 'em yesterday, and they're starting to look NICE! Every great Magical Girl needs a nice shiny pair of eye-catching boots!

And tomorrow, I'm going to see my doctor (finally). He'll probably tell me, "Yup, you've probably got Long Covid. There's nothing we can do for you. Just take it easy." And I'll tell him, see my points above.

Doctor referred me to a Rheumatologist. I attempted to get an appointment. Was told that the doctor has to review my case to see if I qualify, or some crap.

All of my symptoms are pointing toward Chronic Kidney Disease on the light end, on the worst end, Kidney Failure.
I've also got hypoglycemia, pre-diabeetes. and possibly psoratic arthritis.

Probably from the massive quantities of Ibuprofen I need to consume to tolerate the pain my job causes me. And I can't stop taking the Ibuprofen because without that I can't tolerate the pain to stand for a few minutes, let alone an entire day, and totally forget about five days a week.

I'm also struggling with depression (look at the world we live in), and I'm not seeing any escape, any viable solution. Prices for everything are going to skyrocket in the coming weeks because of an idiot in the White House.

I'm so tired. I just want everything to end. I need rest, and I know I'm never getting it.

In other news, I got a role play started... maybe, so that's kinda good....

you need lots of rest and i really want your health to get better. your daily work load is just bad for you
