Why woudl you think a protagonist should always be nice?

I think it is but these kind of people aren't exactly easy to deal with. SO while if I have it in my faith to meet such people I would try to get along with them I would prefer it not to be that way

and i think you got a good solution in your post but most of the time, they don't get along with anyone and uses them like lelouch

i would think, ewon is more cuter than lelouch

I think I have an answer for your thread now
I think that it's not essential for the protagonist to always be nice but it's good that they most of the time have some good in them. This way it shows that no matter how rotten you may seem there can still be good to you..though this might be more suited to an antagonist lol

do you think there might really be good left in them?
they wouldn't have become perfect antagonists this way

In actual life I like to believe that everyone has good in them no matter how bad they may seem so it's the same for shows as well.

Well I suppose I can understand to a certain extent but some people just really do over do it
