Why don't people post threads?

i have been observing this for quite sometime.
and usually people don't post any threads at all. i just don't understand this

Spamming the forum wont make it active. Quality over quantity.

No. I've been around for over 6 years already. Weeks or months of inactivity are both normal and inevitable.

Yep and then there are those who just feel whatever they have to say might not be good enough..u know what I mean
