What do you use to watch anime?

2 places i want to visit haha! I've almost been to America 3 times. Once to Sacramento, once to Amarillo and once to Florida! All 3 were cancelled for one reason or another. I'm hoping to go to Florida once Covid has gone

You’re smarter than most Europoors. They tend to underestimate the size of the US. When I lived in the UK, a lot of them thought a 2 week trip was enough to hit up NYC, drive to Miami, and then drive to LA. It’s technically possible, but 90% of your trip is in the car, and you won’t really have time to do much in any of those cities. I say stick to a city/specific region.

Also there’s nothing interesting in Amarillo.

Yeah i've heard Amarillo is pretty dead. I have some friends that live there though so that was my main reason to head out there. Same with Sacramento, it was more a leisurely visit to friends

I have my Florida holiday rebooked for May 2021. But i'm starting to doubt we'll be able to go even then

Sacramento has at least some touristy things to do, and is also about 90 mins from San Francisco, which definitely has touristy things to do.

If you do ever finally go to America, actually expect it to be a different country. For some reason, when Brits come to the US, they’re baffled that our customs and courtesies and various other things differ. Some of them think it’s like traveling from Oxford to Manchester, as opposed to a different country.

Luckily i'm going with the gf and she's been to florida probably 7 or 8 times so she's an "expert" haha

The Tri-City area of West Palm Beach, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale has the worst drivers in the entire country. Watch Russian car accident videos, and photoshop palm trees and US license plates, maybe some flags for the giggles, and bam, Florida drivers.

Though that aside, excluding north Florida (aka Baja Alabama or Georgia), there’s enough Spanish people around to at least make it feel foreign enough at face value.

Haha! Luckily i think we're sticking to the Orlando area, it's a Disney holiday. Furthest we'll go from the parks is Hulk Hogans shop and the soccer stadium. Though i'd love to go see some motorbike shops and daytona beach

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting Orlando is the only relevant city in Florida that isn’t on the coast.

I’m also not sure why West Palm Beach is on the east coast...

I'd love to move to the states to be honest. I can imagine it's cool

It really depends on where you want to go, some touristy places are cool when you’re a tourist, but actually living there is more of a pain. Also different states and regions are almost like different countries.

I've always liked the sound of SLC. I play Playstation with someone from SLC and he says it's quite nice

I’m assuming that means Salt Lake City, unless that’s some hip local thing, I’ve never heard anyone say that. I’ve never been that far west.
