What are you watching?

Just started Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious for a change of pace. One episode in, and I'm getting such powerful Aqua vibes from Rista. XD

Same voice actress. And honestly the same shrieky expressive animation. Fun show recommend it a lot.

Started Shôwa Genroku rakugo shinjû - an anime on traditional Japanese storytelling. This one is really a hidden gem, and if you have the time, I fully recommend you pick it up.

Just finished the first season of Shôwa Genroku rakugo shinjû in a single night - I'll be starting the second season tomorrow, since, well, it's almost 6 am for me, but the fact I stayed up so ridiculously late to finish my binge of it should tell you just how amazing I thought it was. =3

you are watching too many series at once..
got any free time suddenly to watch anime?

I'm actually not watching too many series at once. All of the series I've mentioned recently I've finished. Like, O Maidens I finished in two nights. I'm actually terrible at watching a lot of series at once because then I'll end up dropping them or ruining the mood they get me in. And I've got a lot of free time in general because of disability. Just, occasionally I end up spending a lot of it on anime, after which I'll go super slow again for a good long while.

Welcome back Hannah.
These days anime have just 13 or 12 episodes. We can easily finish them in a week or so.

On regular basis as they are released: Questionable Content, Misfile, Something*Positive, El Goonish Shive, Between Failures, Girl Genius, Grrl Power, and a long-ass list on Webtoons and Tapas. Mage & Demon Queen, Muted, Waffles & Pancakes, Nothing Special, Space Boy, Crumbs, Midnight Furies, ... On top of that, a long list that I catch up with in larger chunks every few months. The list *does* go on and on. XD

Well, a lot of these aren't really asian-style comics, thought if you want something like shonen, I'd recommend going to Webtoons (https://www.webtoons.com/en/) and reading unOrdinary, Hardcore Leveling Warrior, No Scope, Dice, and The Game. You might also, for some softer stories, like Luff, Siren's Lament, I Love You, and Let's Play. Mage & demon Queen is hilarious with a good dose of lewdness. But yeah. Have fun!

Of those I listed, I'd at least give unOrdinary and Siren's Lament if art is your primary concern then. Very nice stories, and the art is generally appreciated as well. =)

thank you so much for giving me the names and i am going to read it soon.

Started watching Eromanga Sensei. I'm three episodes in, and it's... enjoyable? I think that might be the best word. It mostly came to my attention actually because I'd heard several people say it was pure and utter trash. Let me put it like this - it's nothing big or special, and at least half of the entire show is just fan-servicing. I think this is why I heard it being trash. The thing is, though - and I think this is why I'm able to enjoy it like I am - I have a very good... tolerance? capability? to enjoy anything ecchi for the jokes or whatever other genres it's trying to portray and just... not be bothered by it. I'm sure most of the people watching it are just watching it for the fanservicing. But this is why I'm also able to enjoy Food Wars as much as I am (despite the comparison not being a good one - Food Wars is actually a far better anime with really good story and characters) - whenever they have this one over the top ecchi moment, I just shake my head, go 'what the hell?!' and just laugh and continue to watch. But it *does* make me laugh.

So basically, Eromanga Sensei, to me, is just a cute and funny, over the top, show about kids drawing manga, very light (which is why I started it tonight, I wanted something light), and pretty enjoyable - nothing special, but I'm having fun with it.

ETA: Dude seriously? I was three episodes in when I wrote the above, thinking the 'it's trash' opinion came from what fan service I'd seen so far. Suffice to say there seems to be more to it... XD Let's just say at this point I think I've decided to continue out of morbid curiousity. Full review undoubtedly to follow when I finish this. XP

many people give it up after the fan service
and excessive fan service is no good but this review makes me curious about it.
