Well, Today I Go to Court...

I'm really not looking forward to today. Not only am I loosing hours away from work, that could impact my ability to pay my rent next month, but I'm possibly receiving a judgment for a wage garnishment because I couldn't afford to pay a credit card after I was kicked out of my formerly rented bedroom (landlord/ex-friend got drunk one night, long story).

And to top that off, instead of going to the dentist to pull a rotten tooth that's giving me all sorts of pain, I get to go to work afterward, and muttle through everything too. (Did that make any sense?) I'm only on about 2,400mg of Ibuprofen right now.

What ever happened to "Life gets better"? Because I'm doubting that right now!

Sorry, but I needed to vent.

i am really sorry to hear that hun.
wish i could do to make you feel better. i don't think life is easy. sometimes you just have to do everything just to survive and i know it's not at all easy.
don't worry and hopefully it will get better for you
i will pray for you

You must have done something, because even the Court laughed. The only time in my life where it's a good thing to be dirt poor! I'm exempt because I have a gross income of less than $750 per week! Which ever god/goddess/universal construct you prayed to, I need to give an offering for!

glad to hear that.
you deserve the best. everyone does but in this world, not everyone can be lucky.
i struggle a lot too and i am glad that everything worked out for you. give yourself a celebration dinner by having something extravagant

I'm sorry to hear you're going through a rough patch right now. Things have to get better now that you've dealt with some negative things. That's usually how it goes for me at least, gotta take the bad to get the good.

I could really use some good! I'd settle for the foot pain and tooth pain to vanish so I can stop taking massive dosages of Ibuprofen every day for months!

So, what I do is combine into one bowl:
  • 1.5 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 4 TBsp of sugar
  • (sometimes I add 1 cup of chocolate chips)

In another bowl beat together:
  • 1 or 2 big bananas (mashed with a fork)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 stick of butter (melted on the stove
  • (sometimes I add a couple tablespoons of Nutella or peanut butter)

Then I mix the two bowls together with a fork. I don't have any fancy bakery stuff-- too poor to afford it! After everything is combined, I let the mixture rest for about ten minutes while the oven is preheating to 350F. This is enough mixture for one bread pan. I'll pour the mixture into the pan, and then bake for 55 minutes. Pull it out and let rest in the pan for about 30 minutes to cool. Then I can just flip the pan over, beat the bottom of the pan with my fist and the loaf usually pops out without much issue. Sometimes, I'll need to scrape the edges with a butter knife, but that's rare.

Slice in one-inch pieces and top with a pad of butter! This will last for about a week--assuming it's not eaten before then!

wouldn't last more than 2 days for me.
thank you so much for sharing the recipe hun

Tonight, I'm baking some kind of cookies. Helpful hint I heard that I'll probably try next week: Use Cream of Tartar to create those soft chewy cookies you find in the store. I'll experiment (and hopefully not die) to find the correct amount for the tribe

good luck and i am sure you will bake the perfect cookies hun

The recipe I used was crap. I forgot there are typically eggs in cookies (I always get pancake batter confused with cookie dough) So, the cookies cam out like lead bricks. Still very chocolatey, but just very dense. I'll have to try again tonight maybe. (I stayed home from work today because I was nauseous this morning. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a result of my rotting tooth that I can't afford to get fixed.) I've just had zero energy over the past couple of days.
