Trying to survive but only barely

My savings aren't enough and I should have demanded more compensation from ex before the deport.
Why is it so hard to survive?

If you're in a survival situation, you need to stop everything and take a look around to see where you're at.
Shelter? Food? Safety?

Unfortunately, we live in a modern society that requires money to operate. That means exchanging your time for money. So what are your skills that you can trade for money? You'll need to look for day jobs (jobs that pay at the end of the day). Probably physically-demanding jobs will be available. You need to figure out where to generate an income stream from something that's reliable. You may have to completely rebuild your life. You may need to stop spending money on anything that doesn't directly relate to keeping a roof over your head and food in your belly (like I'm going through, although, I've been in worse spots before.)

I am sorry to hear, Rinko. It is a very tough spot to be barely sub-existing. I really hope things get better for you. You deserve to thrive and I hope little by little you find a way to get out of just barely surviving and can have the way to enjoy your living.

I don't have any tips that would anything you didn't know before today but I am happy to share dust from my own road if that is something you'd like, again nothing ground breaking.

For now, I just want to agree that things are getting tougher. I don't understand what lengths parents have to go right now to give their kids a proper childhood, because when I was a kid my dad working part time was enough to live a nice mid-class life. Nowadays it seems to me that two people working full time doesn't even cover anywhere near for a family with a kid or more to have that kind of leisure.

Big hugs, Rinku.
