I don't really get why she is so popular but she is certainly beautiful.

That anime is a technical marvel. And has decently written contained stories.

I haven't watch it Haha.. it was released when i hiatus from anime manga

It's probably the best looking TV anime when it came out, obviously not as good as movies that's never possible. And even now very few have come close.
If you want others then you can check out others from the studio, such as Hibike! Euphonium and A Silent Voice. Both are gorgeous.

I mean adding colour itself makes it objectively better so I don't know what their deal is.

this i agree
and i think moving is a lot of interesting with anime than with manga.
