So far this guy is not that impressive for me, well he looks like a goat. But this guy is kinda unique, rather than the usual formula of  powering up and competing on power with Goku and Vegeta, his ability allow him to  absorb energy and debuff them

This is kinda refreshing for series like Dragon Ball where antagonists and protagonists competing with power, this guy actually drag the protagonists power down than catching up to their power haha.. i hope that in the future they come up with more unusual concept, but oh please.. improve character design, and for backstory i can't expect much, it's Dragon Ball after all haha..
 
I'm rather enjoying this arc, specially since this guy is doing everything freiza is doing in 1/8 of a saga arc :P

I'm curious where they go with this.

Yup, and they bring up magic as the main theme of this arc. With Vegeta visiting Yadorat people i bet it will become very interesting!
