Is VPN alone enough to stream anime?

Well the truth is that you are not hidden from your ISP and the VPN is no more protecting your identity then wearing glasses while holding up a ten foot tall poster with your life story. What I'm trying to say is that a VPN by itself does nothing. Its just 1 of several tools and a strict activity regimen needed if you want to reduce the risks of identity theft and that still is not a guarantee.

Yes and no. Like I said before how well it works is determined by how much bandwidth the streaming provider needs and how much the VPN offers. If you don't need to bypass data limits or regional restrictions a VPN would be a waste of money and resources.
then if i have good bandwidth and want to download anime, vpn will be useful to me.

Most of the anime are available in Dailymotion and Bilibili TV.
@kadenmire it should be fine if people don't want to visit streaming websites. I do that a lot and we get to watch HD anime episodes in these video sharing sites.

It doesn't really, not the way people think it does. VPNs don't make you invisible. Like I said it's a bypass tunnel not a cloaking device. Most people don't use it the way it is intended which was never to hide your tracks. Some people figured out that if you mask your IP use a VPN and a different online username and throw in some other nasty little tricks you can hide your online activity, for example that combination is what actually creates the illusion of anonymity, not the VPN alone. Other people figured out that if you sell it as a an identity hiding super cloak people will buy it. And law enforcement and the government encourage this illusion because it makes it easer for them to catch the small fry and armatures. So unless you are using it for work, Bypassing regional blocks, or criminal activity it's a waste of money.
Not always, it depends on the platform and how well the VPN handles streaming detection. A VPN gets you past basic geo-restrictions, but many platforms actively detect and block known VPN IPs, if the server is flagged, you'll get an error even while connected. Reputable providers with frequently rotated IPs and streaming-optimized servers (NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Surfshark) work more reliably than free/budget options. Some platforms also check account region or payment method, not just IP, so a VPN alone won't bypass those.
