Is VPN alone enough to stream anime?

As far as I know that's enough but I am not a techy and I can't give you the information you are seeking. Let's try to tag @Yoshida here and he might know something for you.

If you VPN, it will just change your location and IP.
You just need to look for places where the anime is currently streaming

VPN is just a routing protocol. Think of it like a hose used to bypass the regular channel. How well you can use a particular VPN for streaming depends on the bandwidth the streaming app you are using needs and how much bandwidth the VPN you are using allows.

but it gives us safety from all the tracking lol
i wish i could get it but with my income and current bandwidth, it would be a waste

It doesn't really, not the way people think it does. VPNs don't make you invisible. Like I said it's a bypass tunnel not a cloaking device. Most people don't use it the way it is intended which was never to hide your tracks. Some people figured out that if you mask your IP use a VPN and a different online username and throw in some other nasty little tricks you can hide your online activity. Other people figured out that if you sell it as a an identity hiding super cloak people will buy it. And law enforcement and the government encourage this illusion because it makes it easer for them to catch the small fry and armatures. So unless you are using it for work, Bypassing regional blocks, or criminal activity it's a waste of money.

I think most of the people use it to watch and download anime and movies.
Probably to remove location restrictions as well. For these things, VPN works well.

It’s sad how many people believe in the invisibility cloak. Many of them use it while paying their bills, which if the website is using SSL, what they’re doing is pointless.

While it masks what you do from your ISP, it just pushes the burden to your VPN provider who is “protecting your identity”, who will definitely throw you under the bus when the law gets involved.

Apparently now the new “hip” thing for privacy is to use virtual machines, which makes no sense with how most people will be using them.

Well the truth is that you are not hidden from your ISP and the VPN is no more protecting your identity then wearing glasses while holding up a ten foot tall poster with your life story. What I'm trying to say is that a VPN by itself does nothing. Its just 1 of several tools and a strict activity regimen needed if you want to reduce the risks of identity theft and that still is not a guarantee.

Yes and no. Like I said before how well it works is determined by how much bandwidth the streaming provider needs and how much the VPN offers. If you don't need to bypass data limits or regional restrictions a VPN would be a waste of money and resources.

That’s not inherently true. It does hide what you’re doing from your ISP, but they (and others) can tell from the IP address that you’re using a VPN. Your cookies can also leave traces behind.
