If you can go back in time, which era would you choose?

On second thoughts, I want to go to 1946, and persuade Gandhi from selecting Nehru, and would ask him to select Sardar Patel, the Iron Man of India, as the Prime Minister of India............
Are you sure, you can do that? :D

Well, the way he had chose divided the country into two. So, we don't have anything else to lose :(

I would just go back like 2 years and get on narutospot and nbf and my site and see and talk to the old members again like we used to before we went our separate ways. For some reason I'm feeling very nostalgic about those days.

I heard from madara that they are still going to nspot.
Why don't you try that place? :D

On your reply to my post: Well, I have to.........If Patel had been the PM, the economy would not have plunged, we would not have the Kashmir issue, and we would have been at par with China...........Our economy nearly collapsed in the 1960's and the 1990's due to Nehru's and his successors' backward Socialist economic policies..........If the economy had not been liberalised in the 1990's by Narasimha Rao, MuteMohan Singh, Subramanian Swamy, we would have been finished.............

On your reply to Sindar's post: Well, the partition took place because of Jinnah, and not because of Gandhi...........He was firm on his faith in the two nation theory, and that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together............They had no choice...............And so, Pakistan became a theocracy(this is not Jinnah's fault), while our founding fathers made our country a democracy.............

Nehru is quite a good man at heart. But he does have some issues. I don't think he would have accepted anything else other than the prime minister post. So, gandhi had no choice but to give in.
As for the economy, it depends on the leaders and tacticians.
It also depends on the citizens too. Just by choosing someone else economy might not have taken a downfall might be a wishful thinking, according to me.
Because one man can never really ruin a country. He/she needs supporters in order to help him/her achieve that.
As for the Pakistan issue, people should just grow up.
Even though people receive quality education, it isn't helping them to understand that we are all humans in the first place.
What a pity that is :(

I would really like to go back to the 80s and 90s to be part of the pop culture then. The 80s were do bright and vibrant and the glam metal that was at full force, I would love it. For the 90s, the gritty feel of that era is very interesting to me and most of all my favourite band was in dull force at that time and I would love to see in them live in their prime.
