i know that it isn't easy to separate part of an image.
i want to separate a particular character. i tried magic tool and the result ain't that great and i suck at using magic tool.
so, how to proceed now?
any suggestions @Mansi14 , @Jack , @BurnsyCEO , @KonahaANBU , @alakazam ?

Try using the pentool to go around the edges of the character and select it after your done.

i can't seem to get these curves straight.
they always end up in the triangle shape x(
what should i do?

when you put a point down alt click on it everytime so it resets to a normal point the next one.

OK. Post the image you want to have edited, and I will extract the character for you and post it here. Just post a link to the image you want and tell me which character.

I can't give you tips if I don't know which version of Photoshop you use. I currently use Photoshop CS3, which has a feature called the extractor tool. Other versions of Photoshop don't have that tool (they have something else that was introduced later, which I am not familiar with)...

The best I can do is edit the photo for you. Sorry.

that's sad.
how can i download this photoshop cs3.
don't tell me to pay. i am too poor, my man x(

Sir whatever version you are using
It could be a trial version...

If you see an small arrow on the right bottom of the icon of magic tool...
Drag it downwards
It is the quick selection tool...
You select by clicking or dragging
Changing size of brush according to the area you have to select helps a lot too

You can just erase the remaining part
For that invert the selection if you have selected the part you want to extract.
And if the quick selection tool is not there then first search the version you are using by
Going in help menu -> about Photoshop

Hope that works...

Manga is really easy to cut out if you use the magnetic lasso tool.

that doesn't improve your skill.
you sure, you want to give that advice to a novice?
@Sebastian practice with the pen tool and you will get the hang of it.
