How much does hype affect your perception of an anime going into it?

What are your thoughts abut this?
As for me, I believe something would be good, if there is too much positive hype to it. What do you think?

This thread’s been made a ton of times, and my answer hasn’t changed.

If I wasn’t interested before, the hype still won’t make me watch it. Also if people were too in your face about the hype, it would make me not want to watch it.

and even me. and if something is seriously been pushed onto my face, i wouldn't want to watch that anime.
