How big of a part does the music play when you're watching an anime?

In my room, and I don't really entertain anyone other than my parents, my sister and my friends in my room.

I see. I don't have my own room.
So, for me everything I watch, will be known to others as well. And I don't like fan service and I don't want to create an impressions to others that I like it.
 
both clarie and star don't like fan service
and being a woman myself i don't understand the appeal myself lol
