First and foremost, you need to watch the first and Kai season. After that you can then watch GOU and finally SOTSU for a really messed up story that will most likely end with you really hating a certain character, a certain character that being burn at the stake wouldn't be enough. Just like the first seasons, lots of brutal deaths and deception everywhere you look.


So has anyone here see the latest in the Higurashi series?

Was waiting for Sotsu to end before I started it. I'd give it another month before I start it because of time reasons.

I still haven't seen any of it. I think some of it is on Funimation but not all of them so i'm reluctant to start anything

Sadly by the looks of it the series is split between sentai and funimation, so you will need to go to hidive for the first two or buy the collection, then funimation for the last two, which funimation stream video sucks.

Man I just finished Sotsu and what a weird ass ending. It's not even good, the character motivation for satoko is "I don't want to study" which is so stupid I couldn't take the ending two episodes seriously, that's not even counting the fight scene where they went mirrai nikki and gave our two super powers.

I gave Gou a raving 9.4 but this with how much of it is repeated scenes in loops we've already seen and that ending it's only worth watching as a conclusion of a long storyline.
