Have you ever lost a friend for stupid reasons?

Yes in a way. I lost contact with one of my best friends as I got really good grades and got into a reputable college. I rejected that college later as it's a bit too far and I hate leaving home.....
However, she cut off all contact with me... May be she never thought I could actually beat her grades... As I never took studying seriously until I turned 15 so....

I know I shouldn't think of her as my friend anymore but she was always there for me.... And even now, I still miss her from time to time

she must have befriended you too make herself feel superior. friends don't abandon others just because they are better than them

Yes. It was really stupid at the time and we were friends since pre-k.

I've lost many people as friends for a variety of reasons, and they can all be considered stupid. (The reasons, not the people!) One of the most bestest friends (yeah, I made it a word, sue me...) was lost because I moved. I mean, it's not like the MAIL doesn't exist, or Email even, texting? Nope. Gone, just stopped responding. I think my trust in other people was severely damaged because of that relationship... or rather the loss of it.
