Do you want to learn any language?

I've always wanted to improve my French but never actually did it because I am lazy :P
Other than French, I once attempted to learn Japanese, but never progresses further than the first tutorial. Too difficult for me, unfortunately.

Me too. :( laziness is the big problem. But you know what, if you put the head down and have a really good reason to learn that language ( example: You're desperate to watch the new episode that's not yet subbed in English), you can really achieve anything. I learn German so that I could live there anyway. But still I need to put my hands up a little too. Good luck learning French!

My reason was kind of similar. I only attempted Japanese because Pokemon Black 2 was released in Japanese well before the English version and I just couldnt wait for it.

I like to learn Hindi our national language. But looking for some kind of Matrix device when plugged into my head learn the language in 5 minutes. :D

Well, that is great.............Just one correction, though.........We don't have a 'national' language..........

Oops then what do we have? I am bad at it.

Like I said, we don't have a national language, or a national sport............Too diverse for that.............But, we do have two official languages, one of them is Hindi, and the other one is English.............

Take a look at this :
http://www.indiaforum.org/india/national-language.htm
That link is not working..........Can you post an image?

And, btw, Proof=Proof from the Constitution of India, declaration of a Court, or any Government declaration or Order, not some bloke's words.............

It is working. Just because some states refused to acknowledge it doesn't make some other language is our national language.

Hindi

The official national language is Hindi. The above sentence in Hindi says that "Hindi is our national language".
The country has 25 States, 6 Union territories with a national capital at New-Delhi. Different languages are spoken in all the states. For the convenience of the people of India, the Indian constitution had allowed English to be the National language for ten years, but the time has since then been extended. These days, the usage of Hindi has increased many folds in the Government Offices and correspondences.

A few years after independences, the Indian States were re-divided (formed) based major languages. Though Hindi was adopted as the official national language, many Indian States feel that imposition of Hindi would spoil their individual languages and culture.

There are 325 languages being spoken in different parts of India. See below, the big list of languages spoken in India.

Are you sure you are not confusing between "official" language and "national' language? If not, I'll give my proofs, from the Constitution of India, and from the rulings of the High Court, which are obviously more credible than a random post in a forum.............

Let's just end this. There are some sources, which says it is a national language and some says it's not.
I am a bit tired of this discussion already :(

I have one question..........Where did the writer get the words "Official National language" from? It is not mentioned in the Constitution..............Before 2008(or so), Hindi and English were the two official languages of India, and after that year, it has been declared that a Govt order, or a document to be produced before a court, can be in any one of the 22 official sceduled languages of India............

Yes, I'd love to learn Russian, German and Dutch. I would really love to learn German or Russian though because the two are very guttural languages that make it sound as if you're yelling at someone even if you're not.
