Do you think people can fall in love in their late 40's?

i really want to know lol
after reaching so far in life, i think i want a companion who can also support me financially so i don't have to work myself to death?
am i a gold digger?
may be lol but as long as he can provide food, 3 sets of clothes and a roof over my head, i don't care about flowers, dates, travelling.

I think older people get more cynical and don't let those romantic feelings take over their rational thought so it's way harder.

I did. Found my current partner when I was 47. I'm 50 now.
But to answer the other half of your question: I don't think so. People's pay just isn't what it was when we were children. It literally takes three full-time incomes to equal one-and-a-half full time income of 30 years ago.

It's not going to be easy. I am worried too after letting go.
I tried to fight for the affection and then I just couldn't. There is no point.
