I'm just referring to the strength of an anime protagonist. Do you think they will have a limit even at the end?

Well, if it exists, then it's hard for the story to progress at a later point of time.
So the answer is no.

the answer is always no.
these people try to leave a way out in case a new season or episode or movie comes out in the future for that anime

I want to say something like "definitely not in any shounen anime", but I can't really think of any anime where there was a hard cap. Maybe something like Death Note? But idk as a lot happened to push the story a long.

Yes. Breaking the limit. That's the very essence of battle shounen series
True. They wanted to portray the absolute strength of the protagonist's will.

Death note sure is different but if the mangaka wants to, they could probably introduce the concept of death god hierarchy

death god hierarchy?
lol i could actually imagine the people doing that to prolong the anime

Isn't that how myths are created anyway? A character in a story achieves greatness after better greatness after yet more bestest greatest... they become gods and goddesses, forever living in immortality...until the culture changes and shifts to something else, and those deities are forgotten about, and therefore die when nobody remembers them.

Anime just tracks these protagonists as front and center, while anybody else within a particular anime world are just normal mortals, forever looking up toward the heroes, just as you or I do within our story of reality with mentions of characters such as Zeus, Jupiter, Thor, even Jesus.
