Do gender demographics matter in an anime's writing style?

I do believe some mangakas take extra precautions for the target audience.

However there are some anime, which doesn't really follow this as well. So, what do you think?

If it's aimed at a certain category of people then yeah. I mean most anime are categorized into various groups and most of which I have seen did tend to appeal to it's group. Have you come across any that say otherwise?

That's how the publisher decide which people they should target of. I agree, there are certain genres for certain people.
