Dealing with spammers

What account activation method do you prefer?

no..no....you guys got me wrong there...

i was telling that the 'greetings' section available for the new user will be a trap for the spammers...

it will be like...lets see..
  • there is a new spammer registered....
  • once registered.,..he will be able to post in the 'greetings' section ...and..as he's a spammer..,...he'll surely post the spam posts.....
  • and now...he has to wait for the manual activation by the admin...
  • and..then...by seeing his first post as spam..you can ban him even before he enters the original forum...just by seeing his first post..


**and...one more thing..the greetings section that is first available to the newly registered users will be a fake one which will not be included in the original forum..

and...if the new user is not a spammer..,..his first post can be forwarded to the original 'greetings' section..


# dont take it the wrong way..but im stressing this idea 'cuz....in this method.. spammers would be able to enter ...only if they can post their first post a normal greeting/introduction...which is not possible with the bots and .............hence...the bots can be stopped....

and..i request you to just consider this method..@[Claraviolet], @[Shaurya].....i promise.. i wont bug you again..

And about your suggestion, it wouldn't make a difference. They will just spam the intro section.

yeah...they'll surely spam there...and thats what we want....actually...the entire 'greetings' section available to them is a fake and a trap...this way we could stop them even before entering the other threads/sections..

Well that's reassuring :cheers: ...wait a minute. :huh: this post is a month old but I'm still getting spasms. >:(
