I saw the first episode of this anime and so far...I am not impressed.
I am thinking of dropping it. Seriously a card game and that too a poem game? Seriously?

It is a popular Japanese game, so of course it deserves a dedicated anime : P And since everything gets subs nowadays this did too, though it probably makes little sense for regular western viewers to watch it.

I was being sarcastic. Clara always dismisses an anime just by watching the first episode, which usually tells what the anime is going to be, and she should know what she's getting into. I've never watched it.

I watched chihaiyafuru. It's not very interesting but I still watched the whole thing. I mean it's still far from the worst.

It has a MAL score of 6.6/10 and that usually means it's terrible. I've rarely watched an anime that's good that has a score below 7.4 in mal.

Rarely. IMO, Another is one of the few examples that I can think of, though I can understand why people don't like that show. It became a slasher towards the end.

Yes, that's why it's more of an exception than a normality. The opposite of that, an 'okay' anime having a score more than it deserves in my opinion is Noragami. The first season at least. I thought it was okay at best but people seem to like it a lot. Noragami Aragato however, was pretty good.
