Yeah, well they are part of the family.
That sucks, it could come back one day
The good thing about cats are they pretty independent, so its probably getting fed somewhere.
Have had people i know lost cats, as they were outside cats too, many have either been found getting fed elsewhere or just re appeared many years later.
Always a chance for it to return.

yeah they are, mine are very soft / gentle dogs, but they do not allow strangers in the house unless we say otherwise.
They often need a minute to cool down for strangers. they do listen if we say no, then they start talking to me because i told them no, sometimes they get in a few barks and then stop.

i would love to see her again but i wouldn't hold onto it.
that's so nice. not many dogs will stop and i know this dog i came across wouldn't stop barking at a friend's house and they had to take it to another room

yeah dont hold on to it, it may happen and if it does great. if it doesn't you can carry on with your life.
Yeah they like to bark at people when they see them walking past the house, they can see them through the window or hear them talk outside.
We often have to tell them to stop it. Otherwise they will get too noisy as they wont stop barking for ages.
If they are in the garden i will often tap on the windows facing the garden and they will both run inside looking guilty.
They know not to do it but they do it anyway.

yeah they know some tricks.
Nothing too fancy.

They know the basics, sit, lay down, paw/ other paw / leave - On walks i will also tell them to walk onto the side of the road, to keep away from cars, sometimes they stray to the mid and i use that to get them to go back to my left side.
they also know, crawl / rollover - not done these in a bit not sure if they still remember.
Jump up - ie if i have treat above their had lets say chest level or something - i will tell them up and they will jump up to eat the treat
1 of them knows speak / bark on command - couldn't get the other one to do it.
First dog picked it up really quickly the other one does not care for it at all, just stares at me

it will be even more funny when one of them barks on command and the other stares. it's almost like a really funny anime situation lol
