Are you a cat person or a dog person?

I love both cats and dogs. I actually have a kitten & a dog. I was originally just a dog fan growing up, but I became more fond of cats as I grew older.

that's so cool
having one dog is a handful and two is a lot. what's their names?
Yeah, they were a little when my family first got them.
Caused all sorts of mischief, mostly chewing the weirdest things you can imagine.
We got 2 labs - but after a year or so they calmed down.
We got them near Halloween in 2020 pre Covid - so one is called Pumpkin and the other is called Kenzie

all good.
Yeah i have been lucky as kid i had a cat and my grandparents had dogs always.

then when moved i didnt have pets for a long time until my family got 2 recently.
So i help take care of them / walk them etc
I do love dogs, such great loving animals.

Yeah they are expensive, you can get strays / adopt for low cost.
Buts its also a lot of time, plus food + medical bills /insurance is what will add up.

that's so cool dav.
not many people help out with pets when it's not their very own. i used to have a little cat before and my niece refused to take care of it and i took care for it for an year and then my niece chased it out when she was having a party while i am gone and it never returned.

the food cost is a lot and some breads would eat a lot and not anyone can afford them.
dogs are very loyal.

Yeah, well they are part of the family.
That sucks, it could come back one day
The good thing about cats are they pretty independent, so its probably getting fed somewhere.
Have had people i know lost cats, as they were outside cats too, many have either been found getting fed elsewhere or just re appeared many years later.
Always a chance for it to return.

yeah they are, mine are very soft / gentle dogs, but they do not allow strangers in the house unless we say otherwise.
They often need a minute to cool down for strangers. they do listen if we say no, then they start talking to me because i told them no, sometimes they get in a few barks and then stop.
