Any Tolkien Fans?

Does anyone here read Tolkien's works?  Obviously he's well known The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion, but his works outside of these are equally as brilliant.  I'm trying to collect as many of his published works as possible, and he has truly written some great stories!  In particular I love his tragedies, such as The Lay of Aotrou and Itroun and The Story of Kullervo, he really knows how to make you feel for a character!  His world building is absolutely exquisite!

Does anyone else read Tolkien?

I'm not that much of a big novel reader, but i did thoroughly enjoy Lord of the rings to the point i read them. he's a legend.

Understandable, I wasn't a big reader in the past, but I've really begun to enjoy sitting down with a good book over the past few years.

I've only read the Hobbit and Fellowship books. But the trilogy is in my top 15 films. Not exactly a Tolkien fan per se I just think the films are amazing.

Perfectly understandable, the films are absolutely fantastic and the books aren't for everyone.

We've watched The Lord of the Rings as well. I remember having a Hobbit book when I was little but I wasn't into fantasy back then. I wonder where that book is now? lol I do admire his writings though. The thought process that goes into them is extraordinary & it has literally stood the test of time.

Nah never been a fan tbh. I did a walk that was based around him and where he wrote the books but that's as far as i got
