there are manga too. if you like to see only the female leads then you shouldn't limit the options to only anime.

Available in German eh. I think whatever anime Netflix is getting exclusive license to stream also have German dubs.

Demon_skeith said:Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online. It really is great but since you dropped Black Lagoon you may not like it.
MadaraUchiha said:The first thing that came to my mind was wish fulfillment, especially for teenagers, when I watched it. Particularly a ridiculous scene like this:
What happens is that all those people are slicing at once and it's not doing any damage to Kirito because he's so powerful that he is regenerating faster than they are harming him. And funnily enough, it takes place within the first 5 episodes. That scene kinda sums it up.
Licensing is an issue for me too. The anime content in Prime and Netflix is really inferior. Netflix doesn't even have Cowboy Bebop or Gurren Lagann, and I hoped to watch at least one of them on Netflix instead of sailing the high seas. Though at least Netflix has season 1 of Haikyuu and JoJo(and plenty of other stuff). Weirdly, my Prime has every single season of Nanoha.
It was kinda watched here as well(can't use the word popular because it's not), because of the DBZ nostalgia(obviously).

4 arcs as in, within the first season, or are you talking about the 4 parts, Phantom Blood to Diamond is Unbreakable in the series as a whole. I do know that the first season has PB and Battle Tendency.
I'd much rather watch the film to be honest. The original Gundam is like, what 50 episodes long? If at all I enter into that rabid hole of a Universe, I'd probably start with the film trilogy that adapts the anime.
I think it's mainly because the prequels basically learnt all the wrong lessons from the original and ruined some of the things by constantly explaining each that happened in the future, and every single nook and corner of the lore that fans got angry. That and some really really bad acting, dialogues and excessive use of CG. The problem with the prequels is the medium itself. Maybe because you heard it from an audio book it was a different experience for you, and also because you watched it out of order(technically).
Yes. Like Gurren Lagann or Cowboy Bebop or Miyazaki's films.
He seem to be an interesting person and his anime choices speak to me, but I also haven't felt like watching anime youtubers for a while now. Probably cause I haven't been watching as much stuff lately, not even OVAs/movies.
I meant the first season. I am speaking very loosely; what I mean is, there are lots of different stories packed into this season, it is much more varied and fast than any other JoJo season. So you won't need to "wait till you have seen so many episodes", or "wait till you have seen this and this season", the fun starts pretty much at once, and it goes full speed from, I don't know, 2nd or 3rd episode till the end of the season.
I think you are exactly right. Listening to them in chronological order was a blessing, and in an audiobook there is no difference between the quality of the prequels and the main three films. I wonder if the sequels are any better in terms of plot.
It would be interesting to hear what you think about Gurren Lagann if you watch it =) On the surface it is a very simple show, yet I've got to appreciate it more and more with the years.
I personally don't believe in the "drudge through these episodes till you get to the good stuff". And I say that because this happens to be a common complaint of a lot of anime I loved and I never found myself thinking like that. It was mainly addressed with respect to Steins Gate. That I had to watch the first half to get to the good part in the second half, where the "plot" happens. And also, in a minor sense to stuff like Madoka(episode 3 I believe, in which we see the witch dies and we are supposed to realise that this is a "dark" and "gritty" show). The most ridiculous thing I've heard is from Gintama fans, they constantly ask people to get through the first 30, to even 45 episodes to wait for it to get good. Though, I liked it from episode 1. And episode 1 and 2 are the most hated in the community, because they are fillers.
The interesting thing is I've read this a lot of times on the internet: I need to get through the first 9-10 episodes of JoJo to get to the good part. And those 9-10 episodes is the entire Phantom Blood part.
Sequels, as in, the most recent trilogy, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and the upcoming untitled sequel?
The first Star Wars film(and the only Star Wars film) I saw in theatres was Rogue One which was released in 2016 and it was in that year that I watched all these films for the first time. While I didn't like A New Hope, I really liked The Force Awakens because it was A New Hope but everything better. What I mean is that it's kind of a rip-off in a lot of ways but the acting, effects, comedy, action, everything is better. Though I'm not sure if you'll realise it if you happen to listen to it in audio format. I didn't really care about the franchise after that, and after hearing that The Last Jedi was very divisive among Star Wars fans because it messed up the lore in the Universe, I watched it and I really liked it but that might be because I don't really care a lot. Though it did have overwhelmingly positive reviews from movie critics.
I'll be sure to check it out.
