Ads?

With harassment occurring, I can understand why advertising was banned here. Although, I think it would still be helpful to have some banners for THIS site. I wouldn't mind putting it on my page.

but nothing beats fb even more.
people are on facebook and even if it's not as popular as it's used to be.
I've tried running a small campaign with a $1.50 budget per day for my facebook page a couple of weeks ago. It received a lot of shares and likes. i think a fb campaign could be quite beneficial as well. That or a reddit campaign as they do have some anime subreddits too.

Only issue is, people tend to not leave FB for a forum, at best you draw attention of advertisers and bots.

The ad formats are designed to get clicks depending on what you select. There’s a game owner that I know that uses fb ads to drive in members. They’ve gotten some good results as well.

There’s also a section that enables you to “drive engagement” to an ad as well.

These are the options that you’re able to use on an ad:

The best thing to do is run a small campaign of $2 a day or $3 and see if it works. If it doesn’t the first day, then reformat the ad.

I would give Bluesky a try too, many people ditched Twitter in favor of Bluesky. Also try out Reddit! I've promoted one of my forums there and got a good number of members. Though you do need to be mindful of which subreddits you promote on, some only allow the promotion of other subreddits and not links off of reddit. r/redditalternatives tend to only favor nested comment forums, which is what Reddit is.

I'm having a problem with the Pandora ad that slides up from the bottom of the page. It automatically opens ten new tabs in my browser every time I access the forum. The tabs show the Pandora website. This happens without clicking on it.

Oh let me see if I can block that in Google ads.
Could you please provide the URL of that website kiddo? I will try to block it. I don't have any option to block intrusive ads :(

It seems to have disappeared for now. Maybe you blocked it. Thanks. No further issues at the moment.

Edit: never mind. It appeared again. It appears randomly, every now and then.
