Zoro's eye

So after the time skip, Zoro now has a scar on his left eye and is now always closed. Do you think the eye is injured and no longer usable or he keeps it shut to hide something important?

If you have noticed, Zoro's left eye scar is very similar to that of Rayleigh's, which is on the right side. Both these characters are first mates of a powerful captain and both wield swords in combat. The similarities are uncanny and present in Oda's storytelling.
