Zombieland saga season 2 thread

The first episode is out and if you haven't watched it go do it because it's time to save saga again Whooo! 

There has obviously been a large timeskip and our manager has seen some shit and is now depressed (basically Rintaro Okabe in Steins gate 0) but it served as a decent intro back to the cast. The real story should be starting from next episode and especially looking forward to the songs and opening.
The CGI from season 1 is back and that's not really unexpected but a little bit of a bummer. There's a review of season 1 by me if you are looking to get into this show.
What are your thoughts?
 
I love anything zombie related, even in Anime. Didn't realize the second season was started. Probably should go and catch up on it.
 
I watched 5-6 episodes of this and I dropped it as it was pure garbage. None of the chemistry, hype or comedy of the first season and all of the slice of life soap drama crap. There was one good part in the entire first half which was the one performance they put on in episode 4.
I cannot fathom what went wrong in the writing to go from season 1 to this.

I don't like the sounds of this. Are they just retcon everything?

I can't put my finger on what is the difference but I did not like it. It's lost everything that made it unique in S1.

Just when I was about to make my mind watching this, came across your post. Even in other forums also people are are giving feedback like this. Now, I don't have any intention to watch this.

Interesting, what other forums? I thought since the MAL score was still so high my opinion was in the minority.

Yes. Obviously your opinion counts. Even in other forums like RPG, people are discussing about how abruptly they had finished this episode.
