I am into action genre :D So,I will take a look at gunsmith cats :)
Thanks for sharing your list :)

That is a 3 episode long OVA and the action is mixed with silly comedy. I like the art style, and it was entertaining to watch. But I wasn't recommending it you know =) So if you don't like the show, hope you won't blame me ^^

@[Sindar] So, have you watched it(completely)? How good is it, in your opinion?

I've stopped after 6 or something episodes, and I haven't yet got back to it. So I don't have a personal opinion about it; but I've heard people I trust saying that it is really good. It is a weird show though, it is pretty surprising that it is that popular.

I can just drop it, if it isn't up to my expectations.I am just glad that I get to know an anime name :D

@[Sindar] Well, yea............It is not actually that bad.........I mean, if I had judged a show based on its initial ep's, then I would not have watched great anime's like FMA:B, OP, Psycho-Pass, Bakuman........

I thought first episode of OP wasn't bad o.o Depends on what you compare it to I guess. I think I am willing to believe in Kill la Kill cause Hiroyuki Imaishi who worked on it also made FLCL which I like a lot for its humor. But everything this guy makes is pretty edgy, Kill la kill being no exception.

I just don't expect much from the first episode of a shonen show. Naruto, Bleach, first episodes were okay, but nothing special, Fairy Tail - first episode was mediocre. For a 100+ episodes long shows I can forgive a slow start, its okay if they need time to get going =) If it was a 12 episodes long show though I would not be as generous. And I think this is the reason why we see so many explosive starts with normal length anime, like the beginning of Attack on Titan and Tokyo Ghoul, where you get to the interesting stuff very fast.

There are many comedies and slice of life things with female cast. Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, K-On, there are many others too. Also I can name a few action type series too - Gunsmith Cats, Nausica of the Valley of the Wind, Dirty Pair; also there is a thriller that I watched because Shaurya suggested it to me - the name is Perfect Blue. There are even shonen shows where the protagonist is a girl - Soul Eater for example. I mean, it is not too rare a thing =)
Out of all that list I think Nausica of the Valley of the Wind is the closest to what we are talking about, a show with a strong female character, who has to go through a lot and has to keep going to the sake of her believes. It is a cool movie.

Are you trying to get me killed senpai? I'll be kicked out of the house if they knew that I recommend Perfect Blue -_-

Oh come on, it is a good movie :P Aaaaand since it is probably only two of us who watched it, we can pretend that it is a nice film about baby rabbits and butterflies xD
