i am sure there must be some characters like that but there aren't many lol

I guess it depends on what you class as a main character. For me most of the people in DBZ are "main" characters. Basing off that i'd say people like Yamcha or Krillin would be the ones haha

for db we can only think goku as the main character and yes there can be a team but only one character outshines them usually
