Would you watch an anime even if you don't like that mangaka?

Hard to say but I wouldn't write it off entirely - sometimes a series can really benefit from being adapted to another medium.

I wouldn't waste my time on any anime that isn't intriguing enough for me because I really value my time. Even if the ratings are good but it's not good, I'm ending it immediately.
