Would the first versions of HxH and fullmetal

Would the first versions of Hunter x Hunter and Fullmetal Alchemist be more appreciated if their remakes didn't exist?

Animation matters a lot and without much to go on, an anime can't go very far at all

Not for Fullmetal Alchemist, it remains incomplete and was given an odd anime finish to it.

FMA, the manga wasn't finished so the people in charge of it gave it a different path and its own anime ending.
