Would old anime be canceled if they were to air today?

i think some anime would not get as much as popularity they got back in the day. even naruto might not be so popular as it is now. may be dragon ball too.
what are your thoughts?

I don't know and it's like a gamble. Some anime get very popular and some anime don't get enough popularity.
It all comes down to the marketing and luck
