Will a slow paced anime put you off completely?

Even if the anime got a consistent story, will a slow pace for the same, put you off?

I watch slow stuff, so it really doesn’t bother me.

It can be for me. It was that way for Bleach. I like the anime but the first session was hard for me to get through and those anime where the fight scene takes 3 or 4 eps to get through.

but most of the shonen anime are that way. they are too slow paced and the fights stretch over many episodes

If the characters are good and the ending looking to be promising, I'll keep going otherwise I will drop it.
