Why should certain anime be judged by plot if they have none?

This happens a lot with gag anime and slice of life anime.
I don't think it's fair. Do you guys agree with me on this?

they are that
not nothing much story going on and they try to act cute which makes me gag

everything has plot, sometimes its not made apparent what it is so it gets judged.

I didn't watch more then 20 episodes of it but it definitely has one.

i watched 200 episodes and believe me it doesn't have a good plot of it's own. same for our beloved anime saiki kusuo too.
