Even though we have many other blogging softwares, most of the bloggers, prefer wordpress software.
I am a bit lost. So, would you mind sharing the general idea about wordpress with me?

It is just easy to work with I guess. And a lot of people start with wordpress.com hosting, so later it is even easier for them to move to the wordpress.org software =)

Yeah I do. I was thinking about making a webpage for my classes where I will upload all the materials along with instructions and whatnot, all that is helpful to students. If I do that, I'll use wordpress for sure.

I use wordpress for my blog purely because it's easy to customise. We've even used Wordpress as part of my uni course to create a website using the standard wordpress layouts.

its easy to use and customizable to the letter. My only problem with it, the software can be a problem server usage wise.

I've never had an issue with that to be honest, not heard anyone else mention it either.

do you have many addons installed on your wordpress?

It has many free themes, plugins and n no of support. Best of all you have full control over it. So that's why many prefer WordPress.

n no of support?

but yeah, you won't find any better free blog software than wordpress, just make sure you don't always upgrade to the newest versions right away, they usually are buggy.

What i meant is that, many people are good in php and Wordpress. So they provide help, support if anything needs to be done in the script.

Don't you have your university's network to do that? Like "e-learning"?

I have a few more on than that, seems adding a lot of addons can make WP resource heavy.
