Why is Shoujo all about romance?

i feel that it's always about romance and nothing more but for girls there can be more than just crushing on boys like that portray in anime.
what do you think?

but still i haven't seen a decent shoujo such isn't about romance only in a very long time

Why do I have to do the work for you? You apparently hang out on MAL all the time and quote them like they're the Bible, why don't you do some research on it?

lol because all the anime are the same at the end.
i have read even manhwa thinking they could be different but no they are all the same and the average girl would end up with the hottest guy

Funny how it took me 3 seconds of searching on MAL and I already found a list of non-romance shojo. So I don't see why you can't do the same.

i will watch all of them and then i will try to post here how those anime are the same and got the same thing going for them

You can try to do some actual digging instead of just reading off the top 10 list off MAL for once.

lol if you keep on going to the bottom, you will compromise the quality
and i am sure they got less rating because they are not interesting enough and i don't want to give them a chance lol

I meant all you do is recite the top 10 in popularity. There's threads on shows that have pretty high ratings in genres you watch and you always go "wow, this is news to me, I've never heard of this before". Which you would have found out about if you actually went by the ratings instead of just the popularity polls.

if something is good somehow then it's got something to offer anyway

If you don't care about wasting time on hyped ones, then why do you always go "it's so popular on MAL you HAVE to watch it!!!!!"

Also hype deals more with the popularity polls, not actually going through the ratings.

lol as long as the community doesn't rub it in my face, i always think hyped anime got something going on for them
take haukyuu and yes it's just a sports anime but it's really cool and the animation is just too rich

and girly things doesn't include only romance and nothing more clo but it's the only thing getting highlighted in anime
