Even I believe good animation is needed too. It's just my personal preference.

Why does the younger generation care so much about animation?

Because they born, grow up, live and experienced things in what we call 'modern era' where almost everything is digitalized and computerized, so.. do you think kids like that can appreciate manual animation?
This thing not only happened in anime, back then in early 2000 i remember there are wave of kids who born, grow up, live and experienced console like Xbox and PS2 shit talking Sega Genesis and SNES just because 'oh.. the graphics are not 3D, it's must be really shitty game'
But i'm sure that when those kids are matured they will find the next younger generation will shit talking things from their generation lol
