Why does Newbies get attracted to Shonen anime?

Like I am sure it's a cool genre and all.
Anyway, What do you think of it? Do you think it's fine and all?
 
may be because it's safe lol
and usually they are like usual movie like plots and nothing more and that's how i feel.
 
It's easy to follow and there are tons of action on it (assuming you were talking about mainstream shonen)
 
Like any hobby the big reason is exposure. When people got introduced to anime through television, most of the ones shown were shonen anime. DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, etc.

More exposure means more popularity, thus making it easier to discover by noobs.

I did enhance your statement. Well.. shonen's popularity indeed makes it easy for them to reach new people
 
Since Newbies love what's cool, they'll simply like Shonen anime, cos of its popularity and the excitement it brings.
