Why do you watch anime if you think most of them are bad?

i know people who says this a lot and half of the time it makes me mad a lot. i really don't want them to say this when they haven't watched the good ones and keep watching those so called bad ones.
 
I don't believe that
Anime is alright and I am sure everyone feels the same when it comes to anime. Unless anime got something to offer, they wouldn't go out of their way to watch it
 
Not saying your acquaintance is, but a lot of people can just be snobs and indulge in things they constantly say is shit. Star Wars fans are a great example of this.
That being said, it does make sense to regularly try out anime, even if you generally dislike it - there could be some merits (artstyle for instance) that you find appealing, but are regularly let down by writing or something like that.
 
Idk, there are quite a few people who are Negative Nancies about everything. A lot of the people who apparently hate everything are ironically also people who get upset when you say they hate everything.

It seems like a lot of the people who are either always being contrarians or hate everything are doing it for attention.
 
It may be that they have seen way too many lower quality, or off the wall Anime', that they might think that the rest of them are just like it. Granted, if you start off on the wrong show, that may put you off from watching certain genres of Anime, but that really shouldn't be the whole reason why someone doesn't like watching it.

Exactly. But I guess most of the Animes have good stories. Only thing some people like specific genres that's why prefer only those Animes.
