Why do we trust wrong people?

Just why do we trust them. Is it because they are good with the words or is it because we are lonely?

i think because we are lonely and need someone to share our thoughts and feelings.

I think it's a combination of feeling lonely and the person saying the right things that gets us to trust shady people. You don't fully see someone's true colors until they become more comfortable around you. By then it could be hard to get away from them.
