Why do some characters with real animals ears also have a set of a human ears?

or do you fell like that should not be case and they should have animal ears always?

people love them and i am sure they don't look freakish like wolf ears or gorilla ears.

lol but it's the authors who give them that design
and i am sure they have other things to consider as well based on the popularity and trend.
