Why aren't anime funded more by donations and crowdfunding ?

I have been hearing about how the animators don't have much money and all.

I'm sure there are times when this could work out but at least for me I don't really bother with crowdfunders and such, heard too many bad stories to have any confidence in it.

because that's how the world is
and not many would donate anyway and if they donate they might have some demands.

I know some studios need more money at times, but I don't think its a point of getting money to actually do something.

I don't think it's possible to keep track of the funds
There can be misuse and actual animators and mangaka might not get the profit too
