Why are some anime fans so desperate for an extra season of a concluded show?

Why do you think people would want an extra season?
That season might ruin the overall good ending and I wouldn't want what at all. What do you guys think?

Most of the time I see people clamoring for an extra season of a show that isn’t concluded.

there are a few shoes which are already concluded too
in bl community ai no kusabi is one such anime and out never got a proper season before

I think it is because the anime wasn't cut short and didn't get a proper ending, the anime didn't tie up things nicely, the anime was made while the manga was ongoing and now they'd like those seasons to be animated, etc.

Ranma 1/2 had fans asking for more because the ending came falling short of the manga and it wasn't conclusive, that being said, Rumiko stories rarely have tight endings.

Ruroni Kenshin stopped some seasons before the last chapters of the manga, some OVas came after but they butchered some aspects to the point that not even the author liked them, to my understanding.

it's natural I suppose, when you have acquired immense feelings for something it's only natural for you to want more. It's simple as that I think

Exactly, this happened to me with violet evergarden...I was told there was supposed to be a second part to it but haven't seen anything thus far. Sighss

I have watched it, and must say the storyline is amazing. Oh, the scenes where the fire is burning in the background, and they fought that scene. I wonder even if second season is released by Kyoto, will Major Gil reappear after being executed in the first season?

The hypes are ripe that 2nd season will be aired soon. The production is halted temporarily due to lockdown. I too hope we don't have to wait too long for that.

Oh I see. Thanks for the update. Do let me know if you hear anything more

Will there be any third season for the promised Neverland? The season 2 was highly anticipated but was not upto the expectation.
