Why are people biased with anime but not with comics?

I don't know why some people online think anime is bad. I guess they try to associate those who like anime as being creeps... even though we're not.
like people think collecting comics is satisfying the inner child but anime is not growing up.

Because for most people anime = battle shonen, and battle shonen is childish. Just compare luffy with bruce wayne, wolverine, punisher or dare devil, see what i mean?
